THE DIGEST WEBLOG
ADDED 28 APRIL 2006
To
include more interactivity between my websites and visitors to these
sites, I have now combined two of my web journals into a new journal
entitled the Digest Project Weblog.
Now,
each time something new is included on any of my associated websites,
details of the addition along with a brief account of its contents will
be included on the new web journal.
The
new journal will also allow you to leave your comments on any articles
featured on the sites so please don't be afraid to do so and let me know
what you think.
GET
YOUR VERY OWN WEBSITE
Take
a look at the new journal and consider if you would like to have a
similar site yourself. The site runs off 'Wordpress' software and
is very easy to understand. Setting up your site initially and
connecting to the required database, may prove more than some people can
handle, but I can provide you with a website, pre-installed, ready for
you to begin publishing online immediately your account is activated.
From
your control panel you will be able to add new 'static' pages as well as
post messages in your pre-defined categories. You could also add
users with special privilege's so that more than a single person can
work on your site.
What
is also interesting is the fact that you can also monetise your website
through displaying advertisements similar to those featured on this
website. In all honesty, anyone without a website and not a member
of the Google Adsense program is simply leaving money on the
table. It is such an easy system to implement - and from then on
you can sit back and watch as your income grows without having to do
anything further.
The
biggest problem faced when trying to make an income from your site is
getting a regular stream of visitors to it. It has taken me a long time
to generate a regular stream of visitors to my sites and get them listed
high in the search engine results. What I propose to do for anyone
who obtains a website through me, is to list all such 'community
websites' on a special page so that the traffic I generate through the
Knottingley and Pontefract websites can be directed to yours.
For
more information about owning your own website, or if you have any questions,
please get in touch with me.
